It seems we can't communicate with WordPress API

WP Umbrella uses WordPress REST API to communicate with your WordPress site. This allows us to know, for exemple, the plugins or theme that need an update.

Sometime, you can encounter the message:

It seems that we can't communication with WordPress API.

This can happen for two main reasons:

  1. Your website is not a WordPress website
  2. Your hosting provider is blocking WP Umbrella so we cannot communicate with your WordPress API.

If your website is powered by WordPress, you need to:

  1. Check if your security plugin is not blocking the access to WordPress REST API. 
  2.  If not, send this email to your hosting provider company:
Hello!
We use a plugin named WP Umbrella to manage our theme and plugins. The plugin uses WordPress REST API to do it.
It seems that you are blocking it from functioning.  They are currently receiving 401 unauthorized errors.  
Could you please whitelist this kind of URLs /wp-jason/wp-umbrella/v1 and their User-Agent : " umbrella wordpress" ?
