Does WP Umbrella Work With a WordPress Multisite Network?
Yes, WP Umbrella is compatible with multi-site installations.
Here is everything that you should know about the way WP Umbrella works with multisite network.
Updating a multisite on WP Umbrella
WordPress Multisite allows you to run multiple websites on your server using the same WordPress installation. A multisite contains a single plugin for all your sites. This means that on our side if we update a site on one of your multisite, it will update the plugin for all your sites (this is the principle of a multisite).
However, 1 site in your multisite = 1 project on our application.
So if you have 10 websites in your multisite network and decide to plug WP Umbrella in 8 of them, you will be charged for 8 websites.

As WordPress doesn't separate files for each site in a multisite network, we backup all files for each project, meaning, if you have 10 websites, you will get the same backup files for all 10 sites.
However, for databases, only the tables that are related to the specific site will be included in the backup.
How are restorations handled for multisite?
In case of a restoration of a website that is part of a multisite, all the files will be restored, which might affect the other sites, however, for database restoration, only tables related to the specific website will be restored.
Can I connect only a single website from a multisite network?
Yes. You can connect only a single website from your multisite network, or connect multiple sites.
