I Have False Negative (Downtime): What Can I Do?

Sometimes, web hosting providers' firewalls might prevent us from getting the HTTP status code of your website. 

In such a situation, you have to contact your hosting provider support and share with them this message : 

Hey,

I’m using an uptime monitoring service named  WP Umbrella which is blocked by your firewall.

To fix this, could you stop blocking their bot? You can detect it with 2 headers:


  • User-Agent : ‘WPUmbrella+UptimeMonitoring
  • X-Umbrella: ‘true’

If you are using a firewall or Cloudflare, make sure to have our IP addresses whitelisted in order to avoid false downtime:

167.99.218.170
206.189.101.66
